🚫I am NOT having a relapse, I’m just experiencing a lot of symptom flares.
However, this is the question people with multiple sclerosis are often faced with. I’ve asked it hundreds of times along my MS Journey of 21 years.
Signs that you should look out for-
🔸Am I experiencing a new symptom, or one I have had before?
🔸Is this an old symptom but is it worsening, or have I not had it in a long time?
🔸 Are there weather patterns that could be worsening my symptoms?
🔸Could I have a viral or bacterial infection, like a UTI that I should see my doctor about?
Any time a new or worsening symptom last a couple of days or longer, you should get in touch with your neurologist/ MS Specialist. Your Patient Portal, through your neuro office, is a great way to send messages to your doctor with questions you have, or you can call and ask what is the best course of action.
Anytime symptoms last several days and are not explained by other factors you need to go in and see your neuro. Don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself if you have a heard time getting scheduled. Stress that you are having new or worsening symptoms and you may be having a relapse,
I am participating a DIY (Do It Yourself) Creativity Fundraiser for the @mssociety
Please consider donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society that needs these funds to further Multiple Sclerosis research to find more advancements in treatments, and support people living with Multiple Sclerosis.
